Jordan Waters enters transfer portal; 5 landing spots for RB

Going back to his days growing up in Fairmont, Waters hasn’t played much football outside of North Carolina meaning NC State could very well be in the mix to land the talented halfback. The Wolfpack have largely gone under the radar in 2023 as they enter their bowl game at 9-3 with losses only to Notre Dame, Louisville and Duke. The program looks to be building something special under head coach Dave Doeren, but one thing NC State lacked this season was a potent rushing attack. No running back on the roster ran for more than 300 yards while one of the Wolfpack’s primary backs, Michael Allen, is set to transfer. That could make NC State a nice fit for Waters as he would likely take over the lead role in a young backfield.
