Four members of the Holy Cross volleyball team, including sophomore Rachel Johnson, have been selected to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Johnson, a neuroscience major, led the team in various statistical categories and holds a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA. She is also in the running for Academic All-America honors. Joining her on the Academic All-District Team are Lauren Halverson, Rian Millership, and Sanaea Simmons, all recognized for their academic achievements and on-court performances.

The recognition highlights the exceptional dedication of student-athletes to both their academic pursuits and athletic success, showcasing the commitment to excellence in all aspects of their college experience.

• Rachel Johnson posted a 4.00 cumulative GPA and led the team in kills, service aces, points, and more.
• Lauren Halverson achieved a 3.92 GPA and recorded a new personal-high in kills.
• Rian Millership, with a 3.56 GPA, ranked second in total blocks and blocks per set.
• Sanaea Simmons, graduating in May with a degree in history, recorded a 3.76 GPA and totaled the most blocks on the team.

The recognized student-athletes will be on the ballot for Academic All-America honors, with the first-, second-, and third-team honorees set to be announced on Jan. 9, 2024.
