Local players earn IFCA All-State recognition

The Indiana Football Coaches Association released their all-state teams for the 2023 football season. There is a top-50 team, which is the 50 best players regardless of class, and a junior and senior team for each of the six classes. Western Boone’s Cannon Brunes was named to the Top-50 All-State team as a linebacker. Brunes led the Stars with a 123 tackles, 74 solo, and 25 tackles for a loss. He also had six sacks and a fumble recovery. Offensively, Brunes had 549 yards on 91 carries, scoring eight touchdowns. Brunes ends his career with 483 tackles, 101 of them…
