Four members of the 2023 Wayne State University volleyball team, Kayla Giroux, Carly Rodman, Ella Uganski, and Alexa Withun, have been honored with Academic All-District recognition by College Sports Communicators for their outstanding performance both on the court and in the classroom. Giroux, who was named First Team All-GLIAC for the second year in a row, maintained a 4.00 cumulative GPA in Accounting and advances to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration. Rodman, with a 4.00 GPA in Exercise and Sport Science, played in all 29 matches and had 176 digs. Uganski, with a 3.93 GPA in Exercise and Sport Science, saw a much larger role this season and finished fourth on the team in kills. Withun, who holds a 3.79 GPA in Actuarial Mathematics, appeared in all 29 matches and accrued 162 kills and 43 total blocks.
