Women’s volleyball’s Nash earns CSC Academic All-District accolades

DANVILLE, Va. — For the second year in a row, Averett University women’s volleyball senior Emma Nash was named to the College Sports Communicators’ Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday. Nash, a native of Monroe, North Carolina, played in 108 sets over 31 matches while earning All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference Second Team honors and ODAC All-Tournament Team recognition. She totaled 317 kills for an average of 2.94 kills per set and led the team with 38 service aces. Defensively, Nash had 224 digs for 2.26 digs per set and totaled 48 blocks this season.
