Banitt and Borum Take Home College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Emily Banitt and Bree Borum of the Loyola University Chicago women’s volleyball team were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the organization announced. It’s the first time either have earned the prestigious award. Banitt, who holds a 3.502 GPA in exercise science, totaled 264 kills, 49 assists, 23 aces, 66.0 blocks, and 223 digs in 2023. Ranking third in kills, fourth in blocks, and fourth in aces on the team, she reached the milestone of 1,000 career kills during a match against Fordham on Nov. 3.
