Pool Named to United Soccer Coaches Scholar-All-American Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — United Soccer Coaches today announced the association’s 2023 Men’s and Women’s Scholar All-America Teams. The list includes Gannon’s James Pool (Hastings, England/Claverham), a midfielder who was named to the 2023 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Men’s Scholar All-American second team. Pool was a standout both on the pitch and in the classroom. He helped the Golden Knights reach the Elite Eight with upset wins over Millersville and Charleston (WV) before dropping a 1-0 decision at eventual national champion Franklin Pierce in the national quarterfinals.
