Comets Lose To Staunton At Home
The Greenville Comets led throughout the first three quarters, but couldn’t hold on in the final frame Friday night. The Staunton Bulldogs rallied to beat the Comets 46-42. The home team was up by 13 points late in the first half. Staunton cut the deficit to four points by the end of the third quarter. The score was tied at 36 two minutes into the fourth period, then the Bulldogs moved in front and stayed in the lead. The winning team sank seven three-pointers while the Comets had five threes.
