Top 10 Maryland boys basketball players in the Class of 2024
2. Malachi Palmer, G, Mount Zion Prep
Palmer is one of the most popular prospects in the state. Last season, he averaged 20.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.3 blocks this season for the 27-14 Warriors. He was named first-team All-Elite Prep League for his efforts.
Given his high status among scouts, it is no surprise that the 6-foot-5 guard ranks near the top of most Maryland recruiting site rankings, listed as high as No. 1 by 247Sports and On3. Palmer holds 17 offers from D-I programs including Arizona State, Creighton, Georgetown, Houston, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, LSU and Oklahoma State, among others and he is currently uncommitted.
