Football’s Horner, Isom earn CSC Academic All-District honors

DANVILLE, Va. — Averett University football redshirt junior linebacker Lamar Horner and senior offensive lineman Matthew Isom were named to the College Sports Communicators’ Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday. Horner, a native of Centreville, Virginia, started all 10 games at linebacker, where he accumulated 65 tackles for the 12th highest total in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference this season while earning All-ODAC Second Team honors for the second consecutive season.
