Konincks Named to Academic All-America Team

ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis senior defender Diego Konincks (Monfoort, Netherlands) has been named a third-team Academic All-America selection by the College Sports Communicators. Konincks is the seventh SLU men’s soccer student-athlete to claim Academic All-America honors and the first since Pat Disbennett in 2008. A mainstay on the Billikens’ back line, Konincks started every game and helped the Billikens register a 0.99 goals against average and five shutouts. Offensively, he scored four goals, including the game-winner in the win against La Salle.
