School-record eight named CSC Academic All-District

WAVERLY, Iowa – Wartburg football had a program-record eight student athletes receive Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators (formerly known as CoSIDA) on Tuesday, Dec. 19. Cade Carpenter, Owen Grover, Jaxson Hoppes, Kaleb Lamphier, Nate Link, Thor Maakestad, Nile McLaughlin, and Dylan Steen were named to this year’s all-district team. The previous record was five honorees, which the program received last season in 2022. Carpenter is an exercise science major from Waverly, Iowa and this marks his first CSC All-District honor. Grover is a biology major from Dyersville, Iowa and this marks his fourth career CSC All-District honor.…
