Heckel Selected to Academic All-America Second Team

ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis University senior defender Lyndsey Heckel has been selected to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-America second team, the organization announced Wednesday. Heckel is a health information management major with a 3.56 cumulative grade point average. She becomes the sixth student-athlete in Billiken women’s soccer history to earn a spot on the prestigious Academic All-America list, joining Courtney Hulcer (first team, 2005 and 2006), Jenny Kehl (second team, 2002), Jamie Perry (second team, 2004), Lauren Olson (second team, 2008) and Kara Kornfeld (third team, 2004).
