6. BYU Cougars

BYU was picked to finish just 13th in the conference’s preseason poll, so its 10-1 start has taken many by surprise. The Cougars have had some nice wins over former conference rival San Diego State, Arizona State and NC State, while their lone loss thus far came at Utah. Currently the No. 7 offense in the country, BYU has six players who average double-digit scoring numbers headlined by guard Jaxson Robinson who has taken a big leap forward in his second year in Provo. How BYU adjusts to Big 12 play will be one of the more interesting storylines going into the conference season, but it is clear this team has the talent and depth to hold its own against many of its new conference foes.
