Crusaders beat Franklin, move to 10-0

WAUKESHA — Catholic Memorial’s girls basketball team ran its record to 10-0 with a 62-51 nonconference victory over visiting Franklin Thursday evening. The Crusaders led by as many as 16 in the first half, using their pressure defense to jump out to a 23-7 advantage. They led 36-25 at halftime and played the Sabers even the rest of the way. Jenna Welsch scored a team-high 21 points to go with seven steals, while Sami Sarner added 10 points and seven rebounds. Kelly Boinski also scored 10 points for CMH, which has yet to trail at halftime this season.
