Ranking the top 10 2024 Pro Football Hall of Fame finalists

3. Dwight Freeney, DE, Indianapolis Colts

Freeney edges out Allen on this list thanks to earning more awards and accolades than his fellow pass rusher. The defensive end played 16 years, 11 seasons with the Colts, recording 125.5 sacks, 128 tackles for loss, 47 forced fumbles (tied for third on the NFL’s all-time list) and four fumble recoveries. He also led the league in sacks in 2004.

Freeney earned seven Pro Bowl nods, three first-team All-Pro selections, one second-team All-Pro selection and was named to the 2000’s All-Decade team. This is Freeney’s second time as a finalist and second year of eligibility.
