McCarty, Ryan earn Scholar All-Region laurels from the United Soccer Coaches

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches recently announced the 2023 Division III Men’s Scholar All-Region teams and Washington and Lee’s Grant McCarty and PJ Ryan garnered a spot on the All-South team. McCarty, an economics major, was W&L’s second-leading scorer this season at 19 points on eight goals and three assists, while starting all 25 games. McCarty was most productive in the second half of the season, as he scored seven of his eight goals and logged all three of his assists after the start of October.
