Moloney, Barrerio-Lopez, Pascoa earn Southland All-Academic recognition

By: Taylor Riemersma LAKE CHARLES – Sorcha Moloney, Irene Barrerio-Lopez, and Marta Pascoa were recognized on the Southland Conference All-Academic Women’s Cross Country Team, earning places on the First and Second Teams, respectively. Moloney, a senior, ran her way to career-best 4K and 5K times in her final season, placing her on the SLC All-Academic First Team. She cut her time down to 14:23.9 in the 4K at the Lamar Early Bird Opener and later competed in the McNeese State Cowboy Stampede with a 5K mark of 19L01.8.
