North Marion’s Frey named Sports Illustrated National High School Play of the Year

FAIRMONT — Joining the esteemed ranks of few, a Marion County high school athlete won a national award at the end of 2023. North Marion High senior Landon Frey won the Sports Illustrated National High School Play of the Year as voted on by fans across the country. His play that won was the diving, one-handed, toe-tap end zone touchdown catch against Fairmont Senior in the AA state championship game.
