Verona junior Brett Burrs finished 11th place at 175 pounds at the Bi-State Classic on Saturday, Dec. 30, at the La Crosse Center. Burrs (23-8) went 5-3 in the three-day tournament that started on Thursday, Dec. 28 and featured 75 teams and more than 600 wrestlers. Burrs opened the tournament by pinning Monroe’s Kabian Ramos in 28 seconds in the first round. He then pinned Pulaski’s Griffin Vanlannen in 5:08 in the second round.
