Cal has already extended an offer to Bolden since he entered the portal and could be a nice fit for the talented wide receiver. The Golden Bears featured a decent scoring offense overall in 2023, but the passing attack left something to be desired as it ranked just 75th among FBS teams. Making matters worse is that the Bears have lost leading wide receiver Jeremiah Hunter after he entered the transfer portal last month. Talented sophomore Trond Grizzell had a nice season in 2023 and should be returning to Berkeley next season, while the Bears also recently added Tobias Merriweather from Notre Dame via the portal. However, the depth behind them is relatively young and inexperienced. That’s something Bolden could change while providing another elite weapon for transfer quarterback Chandler Rogers.
