Eight Volleyball Student Athletes named with MIAA Academic Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its Academic Awards for the 2023 volleyball season on Thursday afternoon, which included eight student athletes from Newman. Lily Hilgenfeld and Natalie Trigo were just two of seventeen other volleyball student athletes to achieve the conference’s Academic Excellence award. An MIAA Academic Excellence Award recipient must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of at least 4.00 at the certifying member institution.
