Greenville, Caddo Mills open Lady Lions’ soccer tournament with victories

Host Greenville and Caddo Mills opened the Lady Lions’ soccer tournament with victories on a chilly Thursday morning. The Lady Lions blanked Quinlan Ford 3-0 and Caddo Mills shut out Garland 2-0. Carolina Jasso scored two goals for the Lady Lions, one off an assist by Galilea Salinas. Brooklyn Martinez scored the Lady Lions’ third goal on a penalty kick. “That’s an excellent way to start the tournament,” said Lady Lions coach Chuck Malmros. “We looked like a team today. The passing was much improved from last year. “They worked all summer. Hopefully the hard work paid off,” he said.…
