Jayce Nixon, 2025 quarterback, has transferred from Gaither to Venice

For the second time in three years, a quarterback from Tampa’s Gaither High School will be transferring down to Sarasota County to play for Venice High School. 2025 quarterback Jayce Nixon announced via X, formerly known as Twitter, that he will be leaving the Cowboys to join the three-time state champion Indians. Back before the spring of 2022, Brooks Bentley left Gaither and headed to Venice. Bentley quarterbacked the Indians into the Class 4S state championship game and was named SBLive Florida’s South Suncoast Player of the Year.
