Luke Getsy fired; 5 Bears offensive coordinator candidates

1. Frank Reich

The man who gave Eberflus his first chance as a defensive coordinator in the NFL, Reich is looking for a new home after being fired as the Panthers head coach in the middle of the season. Prior to his lone season in Carolina, Reich spent the previous four seasons as the head coach for the Colts, where he led them to two playoff appearances and three winning seasons in five years.

Reich could be the right man for the job as he has shown he can coach successful offenses and specifically quarterbacks like Philip Rivers, Andrew Luck and Carson Wentz. However, Reich has struggled in recent years as a playcaller and it may concern some in the Bears front office that he won’t be the best fit. However, given his relationship with Eberflus and his large sample size coaching quarterbacks successfully, Reich may be the best choice for Chicago going forward.
