Get to know exceptional Kearney softball player Alyssa Quick
KEARNEY, Mo. — Kearney Bulldog sophomore Alyssa Quick had a record-setting season for Kearney Softball. She finished the season First-Team All-Conference, All-District, All-Region, and Second-Team All-State. She set the school’s single-season record for home runs with 12. She pitched 87 innings and had 92 strikeouts.
“I never expected to beat the home run record; I didn’t even know I was close to beating it,” says Quick.

“Some of my best memories were throwing a no-hitter against Smithville, fouling off 13 foul balls, and then hitting a home Liberty North. Returning to the final four as a team was very exciting. Not many teams can say they got to go to state two years in a row. Individual accomplishments and accolades are nice, but it’s always been about the team. These memories would not be possible without my teammates and coaches.”
