Bobcats Pick Up New School Record at Marshall Indoor Meet

Marshall University hosted an indoor track event Saturday, Jan. 13 that included several Mountain East Conference teams including West Virginia Wesleyan College. For the Bobcats, Sam Cash garnered a NCAA provisional qualification in the triple jump with a distance of 11.76 meters (38’7″) for the meet win and a new Wesleyan record. The distance is also first place in the conference. Cash also ran a conference leading time in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.15. Michael Hansford started his career with a win in the triple jump, launching for 14.11 meters (46’3.50″). The distance currently leads the MEC.…
