Dwight Smith Selected Head Coach of LIU Fencing Programs
By: Adam Rubin BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Dwight Smith’s resume includes being selected the Assistant Coach of the Year by the United States Fencing Coaches Association. Now, Smith is ascending to the lead role with the LIU fencing teams. Smith has been named the head coach for the Sharks’ men’s and women’s fencing programs. Smith, who still fences competitively, was a three-time All-American while at Columbia as well as a four-time USA National Team member.
