Thornton’s Meyoh Swansey voted SBLive’s Illinois High School Athlete of the Week (1/15/2024)

Congratulations to Thornton boys basketball player Meyoh Swansey, who was voted SBLive’s Illinois High School Athlete of the Week for January 1-7. Swansey received more than 71 percent of the total votes for the week. A senior guard, Swansey had 18 points and eight rebounds in a 63-62 victory against Metamora. He also contributed 18 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals in a 62-48 win over Richmond Heights (Ohio).
