10 most impactful 2024 college football transfer portal moves
2. Will Howard, Quinshon Judkins to Ohio State
Ohio State’s future was looking less bright a few weeks ago as starting quarterback Kyle McCord transferred to Syracuse, while it was unknown if star halfback TreVeyon Henderson would return to Columbus. Henderson will be back in 2024, but Ohio State has also made some tremendous additions that should have Ryan Day’s guys in the Big Ten title hunt next season. The first was bringing in a veteran quarterback like Howard who has thrown for 5,786 yards in his collegiate career at Kansas State, including 2,643 yards and 24 touchdowns this past season. Howard is also good with his legs, but he will be able to rely on a strong run game that adds Judkins, one of the top backs in the SEC the last two years who posted 1,567 rushing yards in 2022, and 1,158 yards in 2023 with 31 touchdowns across the two seasons.
