8. Riley Leonard to Notre Dame

Leonard was not the biggest name available among quarterbacks in the transfer portal but he possesses a lot of upside as he heads to Notre Dame. An injury-riddled season depressed Leonard’s 2023 numbers quite a bit, but the 6-foot-4, 215-pound signal caller threw for nearly 3,000 yards in 2022 and is a huge threat with his legs as he ran for 699 yards and 13 touchdowns that same season. Leonard further burst onto the scene in Duke’s season-opening upset of Clemson this past fall with eight runs for 98 yards and a score. The Fighting Irish found success in 2023 with transfer quarterback Sam Hartman and they will try it again in 2024 with Leonard, who should add a more exciting dual-threat element to their offense.
