Owls compete at Samford Open

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- Mississippi University for Women Track and Field teams participated in the Samford Open on Saturday at the Crossplex. The Owls’ women’s team set four school records during the competition. Three of the new standards were by individuals lowering their own previous records on the indoor season. Only freshman Ty’Kerria Young was able to snatch someone else’s record and that occurred in the long jump. Young had her best mark of 4.75 meters.
