QUINCY, ILLINOIS – Lathan Sommerville recorded a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds to lead Peoria Richwoods (Ill.) past Lee’s Summit (Mo.) West 61-58 on Saturday afternoon at the Quincy Shootout. Sommerville, a 6-foot-10 senior forward who has signed with Rutgers, earned the game’s most valuable player honors. He shot 10 of 20 from the field, including knocking down two of his three 3-point attempts, and also recorded three blocked shots.
