Alvarez Receives SLC All- Academic Honors

SAN ANTONIO- The Southland Conference announced its All-Academic Teams this past Tuesday, January 16 with senior Annamarie Alvarez earning second-team status. This is the second time Alvarez has earned this award during her four-year career at UIW. Alvarez was also named to the SLC All-Conference Second Team. The 3-D Animation and Game Design major had a stellar last season for the Cardinals. With 213 kills on the season, Alvarez led the SLC in hitting percentage with a .404 on 413 total attacks on the year. She was third on the team for total kills.
