Rogers boys fall to Centennial 5-4
The Centennial Cougars (10-4-2) came to Rogers on Jan. 20 for a showdown between two of the top teams in the Northwest Suburban conference. Both teams entered the contest trailing league leader Maple Grove by just a point in the standings. After a scoreless first period, Rogers (11-5-2) would open the scoring at 2:40 of the second when senior Mason Wanka took a centering pass from Drew Krekelberg and beat the Cougars goalie for a 1-0 Rogers lead.
