COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Benedict College men’s indoor track and field team kicked off the indoor season competing in The Gamecock Opener on January 13, and then Carolina Challenge January 19-20. The Tigers opened the season with several personal records and one school record. At the Carolina Challenge, Benedict’s 4×400-meter relay team of Javel Best, Matthew Paul, Jesaiah Jones and Quincy Harris broke the school record, running a time of 3:16.95, which currently ranks 14th-best in NCAA Division II.
