The game saw a slow start for the Warriors as they were initially down 8-2, but Korey Hess staged a remarkable solo 9-0 run, helping Westcliff take the lead 11-10. John Duff's layup just before halftime contributed to a narrow 38-36 lead for WU. The second half remained closely contested, with the Warriors holding a slim two to four-point lead for much of the time. Micaiah Hankins' three-pointer with 10 minutes remaining marked a turning point, allowing Westcliff to secure a 57-51 lead, which they maintained until the end. Duff's exceptional performance included scoring 10 points and grabbing nine rebounds in the second half, earning him a double-double with a total of 15 points and 10 rebounds for the game. Additionally, Jamal Briscoe, Hess, and Hankins all finished with 12 points each, marking the first time this season that four players scored in double digits in a single game.
