Stockholm Mean Machines Sign Mateo Renteria: Breaking Records and Joining a Championship Team

Mateo Renteria signed a professional contact with the Stockholm Mean Machines. Renteria played last season with Les Cougars de Saint-Ouen-L'Aumu00f4ne in France as the team's offensive coordinator and quarterback. Renteria holds career records for total offense, passing completions, passing attempts, passing yards, passing touchdowns, total plays, average yards per play, 300-yard passing games, completion percentage, and passing efficiency points at The College of Wooster. Renteria completed 174-of-301 passes for 2,244 yards and 18 touchdowns in 2022. Renteria became Wooster's first quarterback with four 2,000-yard passing seasons. Renteria threw for a school-record 3,327 yards in 2021 with 29 passing touchdowns, the second-most in program history. Renteria earned first-team all-conference honors as a sophomore after leading the NCAC in passing yards and tying for second in touchdowns. Stockholm Mean Machines has won four of the last six Swedish titles and will be competing in the Central European Football League Tournament.
