BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin women's ice hockey team fell 1-0 in a hard-fought battle against the league-leading Amherst Mammoths. The Mammoths (13-2-2, 7-2-2 NESCAC) scored midway through the final frame to earn the win. Bowdoin (8-9-2, 3-6-2 NESCAC) looks to rebound tomorrow. Game Highlights The Mammoths had several scoring chances that were thwarted by point-blank saves from Sarah Peterson. Peterson kept the game knotted at 0-0 with a blocker save on Jayna Park's turnaround one-timer midway through the second. Amherst earned a power play opportunity four minutes into the final period.
