Ishana Asinor Secures Second Consecutive Win in Pole Vault at NYC Gotham Cup

NORFOLK, Va. (Jan. 25, 2024)--Morgan State senior Ishana Asinor was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola, the conference office announced today. Asinor captured her second consecutive win in the pole vault this past weekend, clearing a height of 10-feet-10 inches (3.30m) at the NYC Gotham Cup. The mark was just 0.05m shy of her personal best and school record of 10-feet-11.75 inches 3.35m, which she matched last weekend at the HBCU Showcase.
