NCU Track and Field Records Broken at 2024 Indoor Season Opener

NCU men's and women's track and field teams started their 2024 indoor season at the Jack Johnson Classic and St. Olaf Invitational Senior Micayla Jones broke the NCU school record in the weight throw with 11.29 meters Nevaeh Henderson won the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.57 seconds Serena Lanes finished first for the team in the 200-meter dash with 29.00 seconds Ben VanWyk led the team in the 60-meter dash with 7.90 seconds Wyatt Abts ran the 200-meter dash in 25.85 seconds Michael Herr-Zielke achieved a new personal best in the mile with 5:18.22 Anna Russell ran the mile in 7:23.27 for her first career run Avah Kraushaar ran the 800-meter dash in 2:42.92 Garrett Converse ran the 3,000 meters in 10:45.78 Deshawna Hodges achieved the longest mark in the women's long jump with 4.33 meters Isaac Weiers marked 1.79 meters in the high jump The NCU teams will compete again on February 3rd at the Gopher Classic and Ted Nelson Classic Fans can follow the NCU track and field updates on official Rams Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter pages
