Spartans shine at Husky Invitational with record-setting performances
GORHAM, MAINE – Vermont State University Castleton men's track and field placed fifth at the Husky Invitational on Saturday. Highlighting the day for the Spartans was senior Jon Hendley. Hendley entered the 3000m with a personal best of 9:34. He shattered his own personal record with a new time of 9:12 to place fourth overall. Hendley's time is a new program record. Another program fell at today's Invitational, with Matthew Spiller in the 400m. Spiller clocked in a 52.43 to place sixth. Spiller's time beats the previous school record of 53.39 set back in 2017.
