Wildcats Secure Statement Win Over Unbeaten Eau Claire Memorial

Eau Claire Memorial boys basketball is unbeaten in conference play no more after the River Falls Wildcats escaped Memorial High School with a 68-66 victory on Friday night. A matchup between two of the top teams in the Big Rivers Conference, the Wildcats avenged an overtime loss to the Old Abes earlier in the season on the back of several runs in key moments. The matchup also featured two of the best players in the conference in Memorial’s Cooper Jesperson and River Falls’ Joey Butz — the two of which traded 3-pointers on the games opening pair of possessions.
