Laramie High Wrestling Team Secures First-Place Finish at Ron Thon Memorial

The Laramie High wrestling teams had a first-place finish on Saturday at the Ron Thon Memorial in Riverton. For the girls, McKenna Barham (130 pounds) won first by beating Wheatland's Ariel Kumelos by decision. Barham beat Star Valley's Rosie Smith by major decision in the semifinal. Avianca Guzman (115) won four matches including a third-place match against Wind River's Lily Hill by pin. Guzman beat Powell's Abigail LeBlanc by pin, Newcastle's Courtney Matthews by major decision and Thunder basin's Aspen Henry by pin.
