Jailya Ash Breaks Indoor Program Record in 60-Meter Hurdles
STORRS, Conn. - Junior hurdler Jailya Ash broke the indoor program record in the 60-meter hurdles at the Dr. Sander Columbia Challenge Invite last Saturday in New York City. Ash finished first in the event and broke her previous record by eight seconds at 8.19 seconds. That mark is currently first in the BIG EAST, first in the northeast region, and 15th best in the nation. Junior A'liyah Thomas also competed in the 60mH finishing in fourth but breaking her personal best in the preliminaries running a time of 8.34 seconds.
