Boys soccer postseason: Storybook run for Stonington ended in Class M championship game
STONINGTON — It was a storybook post-season run for the Stonington boys soccer team in 2023 After posting a 9-7 regular season record and losing to Waterford in the first round of the Eastern Connecticut Conference Tournament, signs did not point to a magical tournament experience. However, the Bears hit the road in the Class M state tournament and won four games, including an overtime penalty kick win over top-seeded RHAM in the semifinals.
