The Detroit Lions had their opportunity to make it to their first Super Bowl and completely fell apart. Leading the San Francisco 49ers 24-7 at halftime, the Lions managed to be outscored 27-7 in the second half and see their Super Bowl hopes dashed. Detroit fans went from jubilant to shocked in disbelief. To make matters worse for the Motor City, the Lions may not have an easy return trip to the NFC Championship next season. With a division all seeking to improve as well as other potential contenders in the NFC reemerging, did the Lions just blow their only shot at a Super Bowl?
