10 agonizing ways NFL champions lost their Super Bowl rings
Super Bowl ring stolen at a party turned up in a Sam’s Club
David Diaz-Infante is a former two-time Super Bowl champion with the Denver Broncos (XXXII, XXXIII).
He naively passed his second championship ring around at a large party in 2006, according to the Denver Post. Unfortunately, what goes around doesn’t always come back around – so Diaz-Infante had to report his ring as stolen to the police.
Eventually, a woman (whose name was not released) handed the ring to police after she supposedly found it in a Sam’s Club restroom.
