Top 10 NCAA softball players entering the 2024 season

7. Maya Brady, SS, UCLA

Brady is a two-time All-American who will enter her fifth season with the Bruins in 2024. Just a few years after being named the Softball America Freshman of the Year, Brady earned Pac-12 Player of the Year honors last season as she set career highs across the board beginning with a .448 batting average that was the eighth-best in the nation. Brady also smashed 18 home runs to go along with 59 RBIs, 63 runs and a .515 on-base percentage. UCLA earned the No. 2 seed in last year’s college softball tournament but failed to make it out of regionals after reaching the Women’s College World Series the year prior when Brady was named to the all-tournament team. The 5-foot-10 shortstop, who is the niece of NFL legend Tom Brady, will look to get the Bruins back to the WCWS this year with another strong season.
