The Austin Black Bears bought their ticket to the Northwest Regional tournament by defeating rival Bob Jones 58-43 in Tuesday’s Area 8 semifinals and will play Thursday evening against James Clemens for the area championship. West Morgan won its own area tournament, but their trip to Wallace State is not guaranteed since they’ll have to win the subregional game this weekend.
